Automotive interior HMI based on a conformable LED array integrated behind a recycled-plastic decorative panel.

The LED array had to follow the contour of a car door while remaining invisible when unlit. The system needed to produce legible graphics through a decorative recycled-plastic material, while handling diffusion, daylight contrast and low-power constraints.
A flexible LED matrix with individually addressable LED drivers follows the door contour and sits behind the recycled-plastic trim. Custom electronics and an nRF54-based control platform drive configurable visual effects while maintaining the required dead-front appearance when the array is off.
