Motor-control solution for a laboratory centrifuge, combining dedicated electronics and embedded firmware for a medical diagnostics manufacturer.

A laboratory centrifuge for a medical diagnostics manufacturer used an electronics platform approaching end-of-life. The product needed to migrate to a Renesas RX66T platform without redesigning the product, while solving the motor-braking challenge and preserving reliable operation.
The firmware was migrated to a Renesas RX66T platform and paired with dedicated motor-control electronics. The control architecture addresses the motor-braking mechanism and was subsequently reused across a four-project family for the same medical diagnostics client.
